I’m Harumi Sensei (はるみ先生), a retired Japanese teacher with over 40 years of experience, during which I taught more than 1,000 students from 50 different countries and regions!
My love for classic Japanese manga began when I was a little girl, igniting my passion for the power of visual storytelling.
Learning Japanese with your drawings is entertaining and so much fun!
This is one of the best compliments I’ve ever received from my students, and it inspired me to create the Natural Japanese at a Glance series. I discovered that students learn best when they can “see” how grammar is naturally used in real-life situations, complemented by listening to examples.
